“Super” Opportunity Headed Your Way!

Convention is on the horizon.  It is approaching “super” quickly – faster than a speeding bullet!  Those of you who have paid your 2018 membership dues will receive a postcard containing the new Members’ Area username and password.  All the forms and information for the 59th Annual IAJHSC State Convention will be posted there on February 1, 2018.  If you have not paid your 2018 dues, you have a courtesy, grace period until January 31, 2018, in order to do so.  After that date, your membership officially expires, and you will no longer be able to access the Members’ Area, thereby missing out on convention information until your dues are paid.  Don’t miss this “super” opportunity to join other middle level student leaders and advisors at convention.  This amazing event will be here in a “flash!”

Don’t forget to make your donations to the IAJHSC State Service Project.  This year the District Representatives chose Camp Sheilah of the Sheilah A. Doyle foundation to support.  It gives us a fantastic opportunity to help kids who have lost someone they loved to homicide.  Check out all the information about Camp Sheilah on our website and make your donation soon!

Our keynote speaker at convention will me Ms. Heather Schultz.  She will present both Friday night and Saturday morning and will work more closely with smaller groups of students during the three lunch rotations on Saturday.  Ms. Schultz is a nationally recognized youth motivational speaker with tons of energy and a strong desire to invest her audiences in empowered leadership.  You simply will not want to miss her presentations at convention.  Also, don’t forget to check the website calendar for upcoming leadership workshops in your district.

I want to wish you all the very best as you continue to “Unmask the Super Leader in YOU!”  Remember that everything you do is important.  As Commissioner James Gordon from the Batman sagas said, “You’re going to make a difference.  A lot of times it won’t be huge; it won’t be visible even.  But it will matter just the same.”

See you at convention!
